Snowhaven Snow Fun Layout

I'm back again today with my next Snowhaven layout. This one makes me happy every time I see it. It was a labor of love. I used all three of my Close To My Heart cricut cartridges, and pre-cut enough pieces for my workshop attendees. Don't you just love the ink spattered "snow" effect? Eek. It's the first time I've tried it with the white pigment re-inker. I will warn you that it's addictive. I wanted to spray everything, and had to be quick to clean up my counters with a wet cloth. I can never spray without making a mess, but it's a fun mess, and totally worth it.

Stamp: Frosty Fun (CTMH)

Tools: Craft Heater, Craft Tray, Clear Detail Embossing Powder, ShinHan Alcohol Markers, White Pigment Re-Inker, Spray Pen, Paper-Piercer, Micro-Tip Scissors, Cricut Art Philosophy, Cricut Artiste, Cricut Artbooking (CTMH)
Other: Silver Sequins, Red Enamel Hearts (CTMH)

I used MIFYH Volume 2: Sketch #6 with a few alterations as inspired by the Annual Inspirations 2014-2015 Idea Book. I heat embossed all stamped images for easy coloring, and as stated above, used all 3 cricut cartridges for embellishment and title pieces.

And of course, no post would be complete without a funny side note. Last week, as I was dropping my children off at school, Jack went to take his boot off and exclaimed "Now I know what was stuck in my boot. It was a tic tac!" I quickly responded "And 5 toes!" Let's just say that at 8 1/2 years of age, mom isn't always funny anymore. Sigh. I tried. ;)

Happy Birds Artiste Card

It is time to face reality. Our furnace kicked on during the night for the first time, this season. Of course, little girl leaving her window ajar probably didn't help matters. When I went in to wake her up this morning, Izzy yawned, stretched, and snuggled into me with a sleepy smile and a "I'm cold". Well, duh. 

The other day, this same little girl was caught sneaking off to her room with nail polish, after I told her no. When I asked for the nail polish back, she denied taking it (at first). After another round of questioning, she caved. "No, I didn't take it...okay; I did. I was testing my limits." I couldn't help myself; a giggle, followed quickly by another, escaped. Before I knew it, Izzy was laughing, too.

I made a card a few weeks ago and forgot to post it here to my blog. (Oops.) 

I found inspiration from one of our old idea books, Autumn/Winter 2012. I wanted to highlight some of the pretty patterns from Brushed. Is it just me or does anyone else see retired Veranda in that green paper? I cut the sentiment from our Artiste cricut cartridge.

One of the patterns from Brushed paper has this cool ombre effect; it really makes the sentiment pop.

Moonlight Workshop Layouts

This weekend, I was busy creating scrapbook layouts with the ultra fun Moonlight kit.

If you would like to attend this workshop, please contact me by tomorrow to place your order for the workshop kit and the complements. I added some extra cardstock to complete these layouts as shown, along with some baker's twine from the neutral assortment. You will notice some fun images that were cut on both the Art Philosophy Cartridge, as well as the new Artiste Cartridge.

The workshop date is Sunday, October 14th from 1pm-5pm. If you are unable to make the workshop, you are welcome to purchase the kit and create at home. :)
