Silver Embossed Christmas Card

Here is the last of my Christmas cards from the 2014 Christmas card workshop. I did 5 designs in all, and customers purchased 5 of each design.

My favorite thing about this card is that it could be used with any color, be it pink, purple, blue, green, and so on.
Recipe:
Paper: Lagoon CS, White Daisy CS, Whisper CS (CTMH)
Stamp: Merriest Christmas, Distressed Backgrounds (CTMH)
Ink: VersaMark, Lagoon (CTMH)
Tools: Snow Dots Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug), Snowflake Dies (MFT), Silver Embossing Powder, Craft Heater, Craft Tray Paper-Piercer (CTMH)
Other: Silver Sequin, Aqua Dots (CTMH)

I know it's hard to see from the picture, but the sentiment was embossed in silver for an elegant touch. Hope you like this one as much as I do. Tomorrow, I'm back to the real world with kids returning to school from Christmas break, and tax season will be in full swing. I wish you all a wonderful week.

Snowman Christmas Card

Here is one of my favorite cards from the 2014 Christmas card workshop. To make things go faster, I pre-stamped and heat-embossed this card. I recommend coloring the image (with alcohol markers) before assembly. That way, you have no ink bleeding.
Recipe:
Paper: Snowhaven, White Daisy CS (CTMH)
Stamp: Flakey Friends, Holiday Cheer (CTMH)
Ink: Black (VersaMark)
Tools: Clear Detail Embossing Powder, Prisma Glitter (retired), Glue Pen, Craft Heater, Craft Tray (retired), Paper-Piercer, Turquoise Blue/Carmine/Marigold/Bronze ShinHan Alcohol Markers (CTMH), Circle Die (MFT)
Other: Clear Sparkles (CTMH)

Isn't he cute? Alcohol markers provide a rich and vivid color. I have them on my list to purchase more today, in fact. Happy Saturday to you!

Merry and Bright Snowhaven Card

Good morning to you. I'm back with another card from my 2014 Christmas card workshop.
Recipe:
Paper: Snowhaven, Glacier CS, White Daisy CS (CTMH)
Stamp: Merriest Christmas (CTMH)
Ink: Black (CTMH)
Tools: Paper-Piercer (CTMH), Snowflake Punch (Martha Stewart)
Other: Silver Sequins (CTMH)

For this card, I used an old sketch from Originals. I put my own spin on it to update the design to today's trends. I love the red, black and light blue color combo. It's clean and fresh. Snowhaven is one of my favorite paper packs featured in the 2014-2015 annual inspirations book. What is your favorite?

Merry and Bright Card

I can't believe it is already New Year's Eve...another year that flew by too fast. 2014 was a pretty good year for us. I am excited to see what 2015 will bring.

This next card was the first Christmas card I made for my workshop. I used the paper fundamentals paper along with the Merriest Christmas stamp set.
Recipe:
Paper: Whimsy Paper Fundamentals, White Daisy CS, Cranberry CS (CTMH), Grey Chevron (Hobby Lobby)
Stamp: Merriest Christmas (CTMH)
Ink: Cranberry (CTMH)
Tools: Paper-Piercer, Micro-Tip Scissors (CTMH)
Other: Red Shimmer Trim (CTMH), Red Brads (Hobby Lobby)

This card is so cool in person. I love our new glacier blue color. May your new year be merry and bright!

Very Merry Christmas in Wonderland

Last weekend, I was finishing up my cards for my annual Christmas Card Workshop. Although my customers love beautiful designs, they also appreciate quick cards. I used a pattern from our retired Originals How-To-Program to create a beautiful, but quick, combination.

Recipe:
Paper: Wonderland, Crystal Blue CS, Smokey Plum CS, White Daisy CS (CTMH); Stamps: Very Merry Christmas, All The Best (CTMH); Inks: Olive, Twilight, Smokey Plum (CTMH); Tools: Cricut Artiste Cartridge (CTMH); Other: Summer Carnival Sassy Strands (CTMH)

Since baker's twine has become all the rage, I dug around in my supply stash and discovered a pack of Sassy Strands that retired a few years ago. They really do add a fun texture.

Have a great day!

Christmas Card Workshop

Yesterday, my group met to create 25 Christmas cards. It was a fun time, and we finished a few minutes early, even!

Here are some examples of what we created.

I still have one kit available, if you're interested. Please contact me via Facebook.

I would like to take a moment to thank all of my customers and friends for being so supportive of my creative endeavors and helping my business to grow over the past year. I couldn't do it without you. Thank you kindly.

Christmas Card Workshop

It's time for a Christmas Card Workshop!

Date: Sunday, 11/20/11
Time: 1:00 - 6:00 pm
Where: My place

Because this workshop could fill up fast, I'm asking for pre-payment and rsvp for workshop by Friday, November 11th. This will allow me to have enough materials ready ahead of time. We will have 2 stations working at the same time to keep things moving along.

Please bring beverage, micro-tip scissors, and adhesive tape runner.

We will be creating 20 cards (5 designs x 4 each) for $30.00. That's just $1.50 per card! You don't want to miss this workshop. I hope to see you there!
