FMS91 Sympathy Card

Good morning. It is a beautiful, sunny day in Northern Michigan. I am lucky enough to be working from home today. It allows me a little extra time with my children.

The card that I am sharing with you today was made for a friend. Sometimes, I avoid making sympathy cards in the hopes that I will never need them.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

  1. Freshly Made Sketches FMS91 Challenge
  2. Dynamic Duos DD#57 Challenge
  3. The Paper Players PP150 Challenge
  4. There She Goes TSG212 Challenge
Supplies Used:
Paper: Pear CS, Black CS, Colonial White CS (CTMH)
Stamp: TLC-retired (CTMH)
Ink: Black, Black Distressing Ink (CTMH)
Tools: Embossing Folder, Butterfly Embosslits, Scallop Border Punch (SU!), Paper-Piercer (CTMH)
Other: Foam Adhesive, Licorice Pearls (CTMH)

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day.

  1. This is beautiful and fits all of the challenges nicely! What I love about it is that it can be for a man or a woman easily. I especially like the representation of the "new life" butterfly on a sympathy card!

  2. Beautiful use of an embossing folder and those tiny butterflies!

  3. Very pretty! Sweet butterflies! Thanks for joining us at FMS!

  4. Love the texture of the green panel, along with the butterflies!
Thank you for joining us at Dynamic Duos this week!

  5. This is so simple and beautiful! A great choice of embossing folder for this card.
I seem to be making a lot of sympathy cards at the moment as I don't have any in the you, I really don't like making them as I know that one day they will need to be used.
I'm sure your friend will love that you thought of her and sent her some kind wishes. :)
Thanks for joining us this week at Dynamic Duos!

  6. Beautiful, Casandra! Such a clean and classy design. I love the mix of textures, and the pearl accents. Thanks for playing with the Paper Players!

  7. Beautiful card Casandra! I love those colours and that embossed background! Looks so elegant against the black! Love the butterflies! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
