Mojo Monday 316

Good morning! I am enjoying a quiet Sunday morning at home. Not only did I get to eat one of my favorite Sunday morning yummies...cinnamon rolls, but I also found an hour to create a Christmas card. Happy, happy, happy!
This will be one of the cards offered for my annual Christmas card workshop. I took inspiration from this week's Mojo Monday sketch.

Recipe: All Items are CTMH, unless otherwise noted.
Paper: Sparkle and Shine, Juniper CS, White Daisy CS, Cranberry CS
Ink: Cranberry
Stamp: Santa Claus
Tools: Paper-Piercer, Circle Stax Die (MFT), Snow Dots Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug)
Other: Cranberry Brads

I tweaked the design a little for faster assembly. Thanks for stopping by today.

MOJO266 Avonlea Sympathy Card

This next card was created using this week's sketch from Mojo Monday. It's a contest, and tomorrow is the deadline, if you're interested in playing along.

Recipe:
Paper: Avonlea, Chocolate CS, Colonial White CS
Stamp: Card Chatter-Sympathy (CTMH)
Ink: Chocolate (CTMH)
Tools: Paper-Piercer, Micro-Tip Scissors, Cricut Art Philosophy (CTMH)

I love creating cards with layers. This paper pack is so elegant and I think the hand-stitching details accent it nicely.

Mojo Monday #263 Coffee Lover Card

I think this is my last post of the day. I decided to create a different card...meaning that I made a card that wasn't a holiday card. LOL

I was inspired by this week's sketch at Mojo Monday.

Recipe:
Paper: Grandma's Attic Collectibles (TPC Studio), Cocoa CS, Colonial White CS (CTMH); Stamps: Enjoy Life (CTMH); Clearly Sentimental About Coffee (MFT); Inks: Twilight, Cocoa (CTMH); Tools: Micro-Tip Scissors, Paper-Piercer, Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge (CTMH), Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug); Other: Brown Sparkles (CTMH), Chocolate Ribbon (American Crafts)

Today's card was inspired by the patterned paper. It made me think of newspaper. When I was a little girl, my dad used to read his morning paper with a cup of coffee (and a cigarette). He would always keep one eye on the clock to be sure he wasn't late for work. After he would leave, my brother and I would pretend to be daddy, by either "smoking" the cigarette stub or drinking the coffee dregs at the bottom of his cup. I can tell you that this experience cured my brother and I of ever wanting to drink coffee or smoke. LOL But the memory always makes me smile.

One last reminder today for you; be sure to stop by here and leave a comment to win an awesome prize package.

Mojo Monday 247 Sketch

Good evening! In case you haven't noticed, I've been going card crazy lately. There are so many fun challenges out there to participate in, but the tried and true (if you will) challenge is Mojo Monday. They never disappoint in their fantastic sketches!

I have been wanting to try out the scallop card base with my Cricut AP cartridge forever, and this challenge provided the perfect opportunity. All Close To My Heart products includes our fabulous Footloose paper pack, Life Is Tweet stamp set, bitty sparkles and chocolate embroidery floss. I was able to cut 5 of the shapes with the Art Philosophy cartridge.

Of course, I couldn't make just one card...so I made 2 with this sketch. The first one is a little note card that I intend to send to a dear friend that has recently moved. The second one is an anniversary card with the words "A little birdie told me...it's your anniversary."

Please Note: This adorable stamp set is only available for 3 more days, so don't postpone any longer if you have been wanting it. :)

If you would like to participate in this week's Mojo Monday challenge, here is the link for more information.

It is so blissful here tonight. I can hear my husband using the weed whip to clean out those pesky weeds so I have more time to create. Love that man! :) Thanks for stopping by today!
