Use Your Stash Blog Hop

Last week, my new products arrived, and it made me realize something. I have too much paper. I am a paper addict. With that being said, I found the perfect way to bust my stash (a wee bit) with a blog hop put on by some of my CTMH sisters.

If you have arrived here from Michelle's blog, you are on the right track.

At the top of the pile in drawer #2 of my super cute Lingerie chest (that I found at a resale shop) was Emporium. My card stash was low, but I never start there when using up scraps. I always try to squeeze out as many scrapbook layouts as possible, first.

Without further ado, here they are:

A childhood friend lost her baby boy back in August, and I plan to use most of these layouts in a scrapbook album that she can personalize to remember her sweet Jayce by. After creating 6 pages, I was left with small scraps that were perfect for cards.

SSSC203 Valentine Card

I recently made it a mission to try and use up scraps from an old paper pack I've had sitting in a drawer since *gasp* 2010. I refuse to count back in years just how long that might be...you do the math. LOL

Anyways, this morning I was trying to finish up this craft mission and started with a sketch and an inspiration challenge. From there, this card was born.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

  1. Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #203
  2. Curtain Call - Love Letter Challenge
  3. The Cat's Pajamas TCP TCPTUES252 Paper-Piecing Challenge

I plan to give this Valentine card to my little boy. I stamped the inside with "Happy Valentine's Day". I know he's going to love it.

Products Used:
Paper: Florentine (retired), Emporium (retired), White Daisy CS, Cocoa CS (CTMH)
Stamps: Words of Comfort, Fast and Furious (CTMH)
Inks: Sweet Leaf, Cocoa, Twilight, Sunset, Desert Sand (CTMH)
Tools: Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug), Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge, Micro-Tip Scissors, Glue Pen, Paper-Piercer, Watercolor Pencils (CTMH)
Other: Bamboo Brads (retired)

Thanks for stopping by. Have a happy, crafty day!

Baby Boy Album Layout 1

Starting today, I would like to share with you the layouts that I created for a special baby's scrapbook album. He should arrive in the next month.
Recipe:
Paper: Emporium, Colonial White CS, Buttercup CS (CTMH); Stamps: Little Reminder, Bohemian Alphabet (CTMH); Inks: Chocolate, Twilight, Sweet Leaf (CTMH); Tools: Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge, Micro-Tip Scissors (CTMH); Other: Make It From Your Heart Volume I (CTMH)

This is from another one of my all-time favorite paper packs, Emporium. I now have mostly scraps left from this kit. Don't you just love that buttercup yellow as a base? I love how Close To My Heart provides matching colors and patterns in their kits so it takes the guesswork out of the equation.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the next layout in this scrapbook. And believe it or not, I finished it within 24 hours of starting it...a new record for me.

Birthday Workshop Cards

Today, I would like to share with you the birthday cards we will be creating at our upcoming July 1st workshop.
I found inspiration for this card on the same page as the thank you cards you saw yesterday...page 13 of the current idea book. I changed it up a little to use Emporium paper again. And the title would've taken forever to adhere so I changed it to a quick label instead. That little label stamp has seen a lot of use, lately!

Our cricut cartridge saves so much time. Love it!

Thank You Workshop Cards

I am having another card workshop on July 1st. I still have one set available to purchase if anyone would like to join, or you can even purchase the set of 12 cards for $18.00 plus shipping and have it mailed to you.

So here is a peek a the first set of cards we will be creating, and it seemed fitting to start off with a "thank you".
Something that I like to share with my customers is that our Idea Books are just that...full of ideas for crafting your own projects. I found inspiration for this card on page 13 of our current Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book. I decided to use up some of my Emporium scraps. It is one of my all time favorite paper packs. It combines three of my favorite colors, after all. Now, don't freak out over those score lines (your consultant did the "hard" part for you).

Thank You

Happy Friday to you!

I work as a bookkeeper for my father's excavating business for my "day job". One of our vendors sent us a "No Charge" invoice recently, so I thought it deserved a special note of thanks. After all, very little is free these days.

So here is a card I created for this very special vendor:
I have been having a wonderful time reacquainting myself with my Wishes Book. I wanted to make a quick suggestion that I have found to be a great time saver. When you are creating one card, it's just as easy to create two. So here is my second version of this thank you card:
It only took a few minutes to add the stitching to this card. Hope you like!

Thank you to my wonderful followers for leaving such lovely comments to me over the past year. It is like happy mail to me. :)
