SSS181 Christmas Card

Good morning!

My weekend was very busy. I held my second Friday night workshop event. It was so nice to catch up with my friends. Saturday morning, I was able to get into my craft room again and create a few cards which I was even able to share with all of you that same day. Awesome! Our Brother and Sister-in-law came up to visit over the weekend, and we had a nice dinner with them on Saturday evening. Jack and Izzy didn't want their cousins to leave.

Sunday morning dawned bright and beautiful. I was able to create one more Christmas card from a beautiful (and fun) sketch before heading to town to do some Christmas shopping. Disney Princesses rule this year for my little girl. Now that my son has turned 6, I am finding it more difficult to shop for him. My brother loved playing with Lego's (as a kid) and even Jack likes them. The trouble is...there are so many to choose from. How do I decide? :)

Well, enough about that. I am ready to share my latest Christmas card with you. I was inspired by the sketch from the Sweet Stop Sketches Blog. This week, their sketch has a twist. It must be movie/book inspired. I turned the sketch sideways to accommodate this little cutie stamp.

Recipe:
Paper: Jingle, White Daisy CS, Tulip CS (CTMH); Stamp: Pure Innocence-Christmas Caroler (MFT); Ink: Chocolate (CTMH); Tools: Snow Dots Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug), Watercolor Pencils, Blending Pen, Paper-Piercer, Micro-Tip Scissors (CTMH); Other: Jingle Brads (CTMH)

My Christmas card was inspired by the movie (book and song) "The Christmas Shoes". There is a scene towards the end of the movie where a group of Carolers gather outside of the little boy's home. Every year, when I hear that song, I can't help but cry. It's one of those sad/happy songs that make you feel so blessed with what you have.

This sketch is open until Thursday, 6pm EST, if you'd like to play along. They even have a prize up for grabs. :)

Happy crafting!

Casandra
