MFTWSC102 Snow Angel Card

Hello. Since Friday, I have been in such a state of grief and shock over the loss of so many young lives in Newtown. Really, it could have been here in my school district...where my 6-year-old son attends elementary school. To think of so many beautiful lives cut short by such a senseless act of violence...it has been absolutely devastating to my sense of security for my children. I have been praying for the families that were affected by this tragedy.

This morning, I saw this on Facebook and wanted to take a moment to share it with all of you.

"CNN just shared a mailing address that the USPS has set up for the Connecticut School Shooting if you would like to send a sympathy card to them. It is...

Messages of Condolence, P.O. Box 3700, Newton, CT 06470"

Now, on to the artwork part of my post.

Paper: Sophia, White Daisy CS (CTMH), Kraft CS (MFT)
Stamp: PI-Snow Angel (MFT)
Inks: Chocolate, Hollyhock, Pear, Desert Sand, Heavenly Blue (CTMH)

I created this card for the following challenges.

Thanks for stopping by. Please be safe, my friends.

  1. Pretty card, Casandra! Thank you for posting the address to send condolence cards for the Newtown CT tragedy. I will definitely be making a card and spreading the address on also. Enjoy your holidays!
    :) Marie

  2. Love the colors, so very non traditional and I like that! What a beautiful card to send to such a horrific event. I'm sure it won't go unnoticed, and thanks for spreading the word about this. Do you mind if I share it on our blog/facebook? Thanks for playing with us at Black Tie Fridays.

  3. Oh such a cute card Casandra! Love the sweet image and beautiful snowflake! Thanks for joining along with MFT :)

  4. Such a creative use of the sketch and that snowflake is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing with us at The Paper Players!

  5. Casandra, this is super cute! I love the snowflake tucked away behind the focal image. Your card made me smile! So glad you joined the Paper Players this week

  6. Love the card! I'm still in shock with what happened last week. I was at my daughter's school that morning for her Christmas shop. The school just buzzed me and other parents in. Who would have known that a few hours later, everything would change:( Things have to change!

  7. All of your work is so inspirational and i always get good ideas from you! Thanks!
