Last night, I held my monthly Friday night workshop. Attendee's have the option of making a layout, or 3 cards...or creating both layout and cards.
This workshop serves two purposes.
1. Use up older papers to make way for new.
2. Provide reasonably priced projects for those working with a tight budget or lack of time.
Recipe:
Paper: Mistletoe, Colonial White CS, Cranberry CS (CTMH)
Stamp: Very Merry Christmas (CTMH)
Ink: Cranberry, Olive, Champagne (CTMH)
Tools: Silver Glitz Glue, Micro-Tip Scissors, Glue Pen, Cricut Artiste Cartridge (CTMH), Snowflakes Die-Namics (MFT)
Other: Reflections How-To Program, Cranberry Baker's Twine (CTMH)
These two patterns combined allow for 9 photos. If there is one time of the year that I need to cram more photos onto a layout, it's Christmas.
Today, we went and picked out our Christmas tree. It took me less than a minute to find the perfect one. LOL It was a Clark Griswold kind of moment, in that the tree seemed to have a halo of light around it. ;) I'm so happy to have a tree that isn't a blue spruce for the first time in many years.
Have a great night!

Black Tie's #10 Snowflake Card
Tonight, I was cruising through Blogger and came across a new challenge that is only in its 10th week, called Black Tie Friday's. They are looking to increase their followers and participants.
This week's challenge is to create a project with black and white and use a cut-out. I would also like to enter this into the TSG181 Challenge from There She Goes Blog. Their challenge this week requires a project with a winter theme. I think this card fits the bill quite nicely.
Here is my interpretation.
Recipe:
Paper: Cruisin', Black CS, White Daisy CS (CTMH), Silver Pearls CS (Jo-Ann's)
Stamp: Very Merry Christmas (CTMH)
Ink: Black (CTMH)
Tools: Snowflakes Die (MFT), Micro-Tip Scissors, Paper-Piercer, Glue Pen (CTMH), Snow Dots Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug)
Other: Licorice Opaques, Originals pattern (CTMH)
When I first looked at this challenge, I was trying to figure out how I could create a Christmas card with black and white and still make it look like Christmas. Then, I started rummaging through my pattern papers and Cruisin' immediately popped out at me. At first, when you look at the pattern, it doesn't immediately "scream" Christmas. But then I started thinking about all the sweaters I received over the years, and argyle was one of those patterns that was sort of predominant in childhood. LOL And so there you have it...how Cruisin' became part of a Christmas card.
Have a great night!

Merry Monday #41 Christmas Card
When I first looked at this next sketch, I thought snowflakes. After a few days of looking at the sketch, I thought about ornaments. Then I remembered that I had a cute Spellbinders Shapeabilities set that would be perfect. From there, it was a quick conclusion for the rest of the card.
I was inspired by the sketch from Merry Monday.
Recipe:
Paper: Red Polka Dot (On The Bright Side: MME), Green Check (Kissing Booth), Chocolate CS, Colonial White CS (CTMH)
Stamps: Very Merry Christmas, December 25th (CTMH)
Inks: Chocolate, Cranberry (CTMH)
Tools: Paper-Piercer, Micro-Tip Scissors, Floral Doily Motifs Shapeabilities (Spellbinders)
Other: Green Sparkles, Cranberry Baker's Twine, Foam Tape (CTMH)
Thanks for stopping by.
