The last couple of years, I've kind of just thrown Father's Day gifts together. I feel like I owe it to my dad to do something extra special this year.
When I saw yesterday's ScrapMuch? sketch, I was totally inspired. The other thing is that I rarely give photo gifts of myself; most of the time, they are gifts of my children. Challenge YOUrself provided me the perfect opportunity to include myself in the layout.
Recipe:
Paper: Chantilly (retired), Twilight CS, White Daisy CS (CTMH)
Stamp: Chantilly Card Workshop (retired) (CTMH)
Inks: Twilight, Pear, Cotton Candy, Whisper (CTMH)
Tools: Sponge, Paper-Piercer, Micro-Tip Scissors, Stitch-Guide Ruler, Cricut Art Philosophy (CTMH)
Other: Chantilly PML, Pearls (retired) (CTMH), Pink Embroidery Floss (DMC)
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
1) ScrapMuch? 6-13-14 Challenge
2) Challenge YOUrself: Oh Boy! #7 Challenge
3) The Friday Mashup! FM164 Challenge
I am planning to put this into a shadow box frame before gifting tomorrow. Happy Father's Day!

PP151 Chantilly Card
Goodness, it's been an exciting morning so far. Close To My Heart is hosting our annual convention at Walt Disney World today and I've been following along on Twitter in between making this card. I have to keep busy or I will be too giddy to focus on anything! LOL
I created this next card for The Paper Players Sketch Challenge #151. I cut the label on our cricut cartridge at 3 1/2" and then cut it in half on my paper trimmer.
Supplies Used:
Paper: Chantilly, Sweet Leaf CS, White Daisy CS (CTMH), Kraft CS (MFT)
Stamp: My Sunshine-retired (CTMH)
Inks: Buttercup, Crystal Blue, Sweet Leaf, Chocolate (CTMH)
Tools: Paper-Piercer, Scissors, Cricut Art Philosophy (CTMH)
Other: Glue Dots, Clear Sparkles, Foam Tape (CTMH), Olive Taffeta Ribbon (SU!)
Hope you like. If you'd like to follow along with the exciting convention updates, please use hashtag #vivactmh.

SSSC187 Chantilly Rocks Card
And yes, I'm back with my 3rd post now. I am loving my new Circle Stax dies. It's so nice when you just want a circle or two, to just pull out the Cuttlebug for a second and put it away.
I liked the sketch from The Sweetest Thing blog so much, I just had to create a second card with it. Yup, two in a row! I am also linking this card up to the H2H Challenge for the week. The challenge is all about what colors make us happy. Well Chantilly colors definitely make me happy. :)
Supplies Used:
Paper: Chantilly, Twilight CS, White Daisy CS (CTMH), Kraft (MFT)
Stamps: Chantilly WOTG, Girls Rock (CTMH)
Inks: Pear, Lagoon, Cotton Candy, Buttercup (CTMH)
Tools: Circle Stax 1 (MFT), Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug), Paper-Piercer, Scissors (CTMH)
Other: Bitty Sparkles (CTMH)
This is a little 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" size card. It will still fit in a regular size envelope and mail with one stamp. Love how bright and cheerful this turned out. Thanks for the inspiration, Sweet Sunday!

I'm back with a second post today. I've had this little bunny stamp since Christmastime, but never found the time to use it. It was sitting out on my desk tempting me to play with it even though Easter is over. LOL I am entering this card into The Sweetest Thing Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Stamps: Sugar, Sugar (TCP)

TSG212 Thank You Card
This past Sunday, I woke up with this idea for a sunshine happy card. The way I put it together is not my usual style, but I really like how it turned out.
I am entering this card into the There She Goes TSG212 Challenge.
Supplies Used:
All CTMH
Paper: Florentine (retired), Chantilly, White Daisy CS, Garden Green CS (retired)
Stamps: A True Thank You, Chantilly WOTG, My Sunshine (retired), A Flowering Bunch
Inks: Buttercup, Twilight, Desert Sand, Pear
Tools: Micro-Tip Scissors, Paper-Piercer, Watercolor Pencils, Blending Pen, Sponge Dauber
Other: Foam Adhesive, White Daisy Embroidery Floss
A few weeks ago, I had the rare pleasure of sleeping in on a Saturday morning. When I woke up, I was wishing I hadn't. My kids decided to help themselves to my ink pads, circle punch and stamps. Because they didn't know I used a stamp scrubber to clean my stamps with, they happily played moving stamps from one ink pad to another. Fortunately, the only victim was my Buttercup Ink Pad. It could have been worse. I can now see the humor in the situation.
Hope that I've inspired you. Have a great day.

Chantilly Workshop
Good morning! After nearly a month of working on my Chantilly layouts in my spare time, I finally finished them up last night. Feeling happy to have my crafty mojo back, but wish I could sleep at night. LOL
After debating on whether I liked the workshop on the go layout for a while, I finally decided that it would work perfectly with the theme of my photos. Sometimes, it's nice not to reinvent the wheel, so to speak.
I saw this beautiful layout created by fellow CTMH Consultant, Sherri Tozzi. She did such an amazing job. Thank you, Sherri, for the inspiration. I was going to use Easter eggs and bunny stamps and really fill it up, and then decided that my photos did such a nice job with that so they should be the focus instead. I've been impatient to use my new hexagon punch and that is how the title came about. Yay! Have you used our new Tiny Type Epoxy Alphabet yet? It's so adorable, and the perfect accent, too.
For my last layout, I found a sketch at Scrapbook Generation and paid for the download. I wanted to try something different, and as soon as I saw it, I knew my Pinwheel stamp set would be perfect with it.
I've been using my Cricut cartridges a lot lately to create my titles, and yesterday I decided to get back to basics and pull out some of my alphabet stamps. The birthday title was stamped with our retired Friendship Alphabet, and the titles for my other two layouts were stamped with Trinity Alphabet stamp set. It felt so refreshing.
Supplies Used:
Paper: Chantilly, White Daisy CS, Twilight CS, Garden Green CS, Cotton Candy CS, Buttercup CS, Champagne CS
Stamps: Trinity Alphabet, Friendship Alphabet, Pinwheel, Chantilly WOTG
Inks: Cotton Candy, Buttercup, Twilight, Pear, Desert Sand
Tools: Hexagon Punch (Fiskars), 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Micro-Tip Scissors, Paper-Piercer, Scoring Tool, Cricut Artiste
Other: Pink Glitter Gems, Chantilly Assortment, Tiny Type Epoxy Alphabet, Foam Tape, White Embroidery Floss
Thank you for stopping by today. Hope you like what I've created.
