Friends Fur Ever Card

I'm back again today with another card I made with the ultra-cute "Friendly Pets" stamp set. I scrap-lifted this one from the Seasonal Expressions 2 book, but changed out the papers. Isn't it cute? Eek. I love it.

Recipe:
Paper: Clementine (retired), Paper Fundamentals - Basic, Bamboo CS, White Daisy CS (CTMH)
Stamp: Friendly Pets (CTMH)
Inks: Chocolate, Sorbet, Creme Brulee (CTMH)
Tools: Liquid Glass, Clear Detail Embossing Powder, Craft Heater, ShinHan Alcohol Markers (CTMH)

I am not an expert at using alcohol markers. I colored the cat in with the darker color first and then went back over it in spots with a lighter shade. I didn't want it to look blotchy, and I think once it dried, it turned out pretty cute, certainly more professional looking than I thought I'd get. The ShinHan's make it pretty easy. They are a really great brand of markers.

I am planning to send this card to a friend in Texas; we (she and I) have an inside joke about her being the "crazy cat lady". I know she will laugh out loud when she gets it.

Have a great day.

Puppy Birthday Card

A couple of months ago, my Close To My Heart team leader sent me a stamp set to play with. It was a random drawing and I was one of the winners. Who doesn't love free, right? Even better, was the fact that I got to cross something off my wish list. Yay!

Recipe:
Paper: Clementine (retired), Chocolate CS, White Daisy CS (CTMH)
Stamp: Friendly Pets, Holiday Tags (CTMH)
Inks: Twilight (retired), Chocolate, Sorbet (CTMH)
Tools: Paper-Piercer, Clear Detail Embossing Powder, Craft Heater, ShinHan Alcohol Markers (CTMH)
Other: Brads (Hobby Lobby)

Clementine was a favorite. I don't think I have made a single card with it that I didn't like. I still have lots of hoarded scraps. LOL

Have a great week.

Muse #54 Clementine Card

Good evening. I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I have been lucky enough to spend the past two days in my craft room.
Recipe:
Paper: Clementine (retired), Ivy Lane, White Daisy CS (CTMH)
Stamps: Love Blooms (retired), Words of Comfort (CTMH)
Inks: Chocolate, Sorbet, Garden Green (retired) (CTMH)
Tools: Paper-Piercer, Micro-Tip Scissors, Watercolor Pencils, Corner Rounder (CTMH)
Other: New England Ivy Bitty Brads (retired) (CTMH)
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

1) Muse Challenge #54
2) My Favorite Things MFTWSC163 Challenge

When I saw the Muse card for this week, I knew exactly what stamp set I wanted to use. I won this stamp set almost 2 years ago and have never inked it up. This provided the perfect opportunity. That Clementine paper is still one of my all-time favorites. I will be sad when it's gone.

Have a great night!

MFTWSC160 Clementine In The Spotlight

Good morning. I needed something to do to take my mind off the snowy, windy weather outside. What better way to do this, then to go to my "happy place"...my craft room. We won't mention the current condition of my craft room; I carefully advert my eyes from piles of stamps and papers.

Today's card was inspired by the current sketch over at My Favorite Things website.
Recipe:
Paper: Clementine (retired), Colonial White CS (CTMH), Kraft CS (MFT)
Stamps: Casual Expressions, Petite Perks (CTMH)
Inks: Twilight, Chocolate
Tools: Honey Alcohol Marker Set, Chocolate Marker (retired), Paper-Piercer, Micro-Tip Scissors (CTMH), Circle Stax Die (MFT), Modern Wallpaper Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug)
Other: Twilight Brads (retired) (CTMH)

This week's current challenge at H2H is "In The Spotlight". I had another idea in mind when I first saw this challenge, but when I was in the midst of creating this card, I remembered I had a brand new, unopened alcohol marker set sitting on a shelf above my head. I have hesitated to use them for various reasons, but mostly due to worrying I'd mess up a perfectly good stamped image. But since I was using tiny scraps and an even tinier stamp image, I figured no time like the present to give them a try. I...LOVE...THEM!

I didn't bother with any fancy pigment, archival or staz-on ink to stamp with, just lightly colored in next to the stamped lines. There is no streaking, just smooth color that looks like it could have been stamped on. I will definitely be adding another set of alcohol markers to my next order.

Until next time, my friends, stay crafty!

Clementine Birthday Card

I created the following birthday card for my October 19th workshop. I love this design because it's fast, simple and easy, which just happens to be CTMH's motto. Pretty awesome, don't you think?

Recipe:
Paper: Clementine, Colonial White CS, Sorbet CS (CTMH); Stamp: Card Chatter-Birthday (CTMH); Ink: Saddle (CTMH); Tools: Paper-Piercer, Micro-Tip Scissors (CTMH) Embossing Folder (SU!); Other: Brown Sparkles (CTMH), Chocolate Ribbon (American Crafts)

Any card that uses up those small scraps is a winner in my book. :)

Clementine So Sweet Layout

Earlier in the week, I googled CTMH Clementine and found the cutest layout created by a fellow consultant. You can view her layout here.

I loved it so much, I decided to pull out my scraps and my extra paper pack to complete one for my daughter's scrapbook.
Recipe:
Paper: Clementine, Saddle CS, Colonial White CS (CTMH); Stamp: Rustic Alphabet (CTMH); Inks: Sorbet, Saddle (CTMH); Tools: Micro-Tip Scissors, Paper-Piercer (CTMH); Other: Cherish How-To-Program, Clementine Canvas Shapes, Cottage Assortment, Brown & Tan Sparkles, Burlap Ribbon (CTMH)

Isn't this adorable? I can't wait to add photo's to it. But I decided I should wait for now, just in case the perfect photo's show up later in my "to be scrapped" pile.

Have a great day!

My Darling Clementine

I fell in love with Clementine the minute I first saw it on my computer screen...even before I received the new book in my hands. The colors are soft and pretty. I was happy to see an old favorite (Sorbet) among the list of colors. This kit even features three of our new colors...Champagne, Saddle and Cashmere. I think this kit would even work for boy's pages, to be truthful. By switching the floral to the brown side, mini-floral to yellow, and sorbet to twilight, you could create some cute masculine pages.

Okay, so I decided to create layouts different from the book with this kit. If you order the workshop kit, you will receive instructions on how to create the workshop layouts. If you love this kit as much as I do, you may want to add a second paper pack (like I did) to allow you to create even more layouts and/or cards.
Layout #1

Layout #2
Layout #3
Layout #4
I believe I had one full sheet, plus some scraps left over after creating the above pages. If you opt to create the last layout, you may need to purchase a coordinating piece of cardstock from me. I ended up diving in to a second paper pack I had in my stash to finish the brown shapes.

My workshop is scheduled for Sunday, September 23rd, 1-5pm. R.S.V.P. today to reserve your spot.

Here is a list of items you will want to purchase to create these layouts:

X7156B Clementine L2 Pack $9.95
