Baby Shower Album Pages

I have been a busy girl today, finishing up some layouts for a baby shower gift.

Back in July, I participated in a 14/12 swap. What this means, basically, is that I completed 7 layouts for the month of July and 7 layouts for the month of April. In return, I received an entire year's worth of finished scrapbook pages.

Because our cousins' Bryan & Angie are having a boy, it required me to change a few layouts (haha, didn't think they'd want pink pages). I also made (2) 1/2 layouts for the front and back of the album. All they will have to do is slip their family photo's in place and they will have a lifetime of memories to behold.

So here they are (the one's I completed today):

Animal Cookies Creative Basics Paper (Retired)
Bohemian Alphabet Stamp Set
Zoology Stamp Set
You & Me Stamp Set
Gold Rush, Chocolate & Clover Meadow Inks
Colonial White Ric Rac
Reflections How-To-Program

Miracle Paper (Retired)
In the Month of April Stamp Set
True Happiness Stamp Set (Retired)
Journaling Jots Stamp Set (Retired)
Chocolate, Crystal Blue, Buttercup, Garden Green & Tulip Inks
Magic How-To-Program

Elemental Paper
Love Life Stamp Set
In the Month of May Stamp Set
Journaling Jots Stamp Set (Retired)
Sorbet, Creme Brulee, Lagoon & Chocolate Inks
Magic How-To-Program

Winter Wonderland Paper
Bohemian Alphabet Stamp Set
Bundled Buddies Stamp Set
Journaling Jots Stamp Set (Retired)
Snow Flurries Stamp Set
Chocolate & Grey Wool Inks
Stardust Glitz Gel
Watercolor Pencils
White Daisy Grosgrain Ribbon
Reflections How-To-Program

My favorite one is the Winter Wonderland layout. Those little characters are just so fun, and add a nice touch of whimsy. Just goes to show that if you have the right stamps, you don't need stickers.

I always love to hear your comments, so please feel free to let me know what you think. Have a wonderful weekend!

I Made A Wish Miracle Layout

Good evening!

I finally found some time to work on my Miracle layouts. I bought the Workshop-On-The-Go kit back in July. You can get your's here through August 31st.

I wasn't in love with the suggested stickease layout, so I decided to change things up a bit. Of course, as you may already know, I love stitching.

I have already scrapped Jack's album(s) all the way through this Summer. But I decided that this layout could be part of the family album.

Wasn't he the most precious baby? Like the journaling says, he was just 10 days old in these pictures. The photographer couldn't believe how bright-eyed he was, or how much he moved about for being so little. Haha...well, that was just the beginning. He is one busy kid nowadays.

Supplies

Miracle WOTG Kit
Miracle Stickease
Chocolate Cardstock
Chocolate Brads
Chocolate Embroidery Floss
Paper Piercing Kit
Magic How-To-Program

I can't wait for Rookie Blue to start. The one night that I get a break from cartoons and History Channel shows. LOL Have a great night!

My First Home Gathering Party

I wanted to take a moment to thank Kelly for hosting my first home gathering party. She put a lot of effort into getting ready for her party. The gathering was a small one but I had such a nice time sharing my love for papercrafting. Each guest was able to take something home, too.

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I spent so much time chatting with everyone, that we never did get around to creating the make-and-take projects until after Kelly's guests had left. Oops. :)

Here are 2 of the items that Kelly and I made today:

For the door hanger project, we used the Miracle paper pack and the Dreams Come True Stamp Set. The butterfly was a bonus from a Petite Perks Stamp Set that I have had for a year. We used Sweet Leaf, Crystal Blue, Twilight, Cotton Candy, Garden Green and Desert Sand inks (chocolate brads, too).

The Fanfare card was changed up a bit from my original post (a few days ago). I added the Fanfare WOTG stamp to create the cupcake, and the sentiment was stamped from an old "Everyday Celebration" stamp set. We used Cranberry and Crystal Blue ink for that.

Thanks again, Kelly. I really appreciate you giving me the opportunity to reach out to your friends and family and show off papercrafting the Close To My Heart way.

Baby Love

I am so excited to share the baby cards that I created this past weekend. My BFF asked me to make four cards for families that were expecting babies soon. I was happy to do this for her; she has always been so supportive and helpful to me and my family. Love you, girl!

It really wasn't a hardship to finally use my favorite new stamp set "Baby Love". LOL

Hehe, she hasn't even seen them yet! You get the first peek. Shh. :)

For 3 of the cards, I used paper scraps from last year's Miracle kit (May, 2010 National Scrapbooking Month Promotion). The 4th card was created using the DCWV and Debbie Mumm paper I had laying around. I did a lot of handsewing while watching the Celebrity Apprentice and Dancing With the Stars Finales.

What do you think? Would love to hear your comments.
Psst. I don't handle rejection well. LOL

Have a great day!

Perfect Pinwheels with Miracle WOTG Stamp Set

Oh boy! This was just what I needed to watch in order to make an awesome pinwheel embellishment. These seem to be the latest rage in papercrafting right now and Close To My Heart follows these trends closely. The stamp set featured in this video kind of, well, "dummy-proofed" pinwheels for me. LOL If you have about 3 minutes to spare, this is a great video to watch. Thanks for stopping by. :)
