Here is my 5th and final Blossom layout.
Recipe:
Paper: Blossom (retired), Sorbet CS, Glacier CS, Lagoon CS, White Daisy CS (CTMH)
Stamp: It's Your Day (retired) (CTMH)
Ink: Smoothie (CTMH)
Tools: 2" Scallop Border Punch (retired), Paper-Piercer, Micro-Tip Scissors, Fiskars Embossing Blade (CTMH)
Other: Coral Reef Sequins (retired), Blossom Complements (retired), Blossom Assortment (retired), Glacier Twine, White Embroidery Floss (retired) (CTMH)
My battery was dying on my camera at the time I took this picture so the lighting was a little off. So saying, this layout is much nicer in person, not nearly as faded.
Hope you have a happy, crafty day.

Inspired Card
Last weekend, I was getting my craft on. Sometimes, cards are really easy, and other times they may take a while to come to fruition.
I was inspired by the artwork on the back of Close To My Heart's Seasonal Expressions 1 book. I used different stamp sets to create my version.
Recipe:
Paper: Heartstrings, Hopscotch, White Daisy CS, Glacier CS, Flaxen CS (CTMH)
Stamps: It's Your Day (retired), Have a Happy Day, A Bunch of Thanks (CTMH)
Inks: Glacier, Smoothie, Lagoon, Black (CTMH)
Tools: Paper-Piercer, Micro-Tip Scissors (CTMH)
Other: Gold Sequins, White Embroidery Floss (CTMH)
I hand-stitched this card while my daughter watched Disney and snuggled with her Daddy on the couch. It was a rather sweet moment, and I ended up not finishing this card until the following day so I could just enjoy being in the moment. Having a good night's sleep also gave me clarity on what stamps I ultimately ended up using.
Since it's Friday, I have some crafty plans for the day. Hope you can find some time to get your craft on, too. Have a great weekend.

Magic Beans Layout
Yesterday, after my kids got home from school, they settled in for a snack at the counter. While snacking on some of their leftover Easter candy, they thought up a "magical idea" to plant the rest of their jelly beans in the ground. Izzy wants to grow a "bean tree".
I quickly ran to get my camera as the kids gathered up a couple of shovels and a watering can. I had already pinned the perfect sketch earlier in the day from Let's Get Sketchy. This is probably the fastest turn around time I've ever had with a layout. Love it! Sometimes, you just have to be in the moment and capture it quickly. A couple of cute kids and some magic jelly beans comes just in time for the Heart2Heart Magical May Challenge, too!
Recipe:
Paper: Hooligans (retired), Lagoon CS, White Daisy CS, Pear CS (CTMH)
Stamps: Field Trip Alphabet (retired), Keyboard Uppercase Alphabet, Grown With Love (retired), A Hop (retired), Lifting Spirits, It's Your Day (retired), True To Life (CTMH), Sugar, Sugar (The Cat's Pajamas)
Inks: Black (VersaFine), Gypsy, Pear, Lagoon, Chocolate (CTMH)
Tools: Micro-Tip Scissors, Liquid Glass, Glue Pen, Watercolor Pencils, Sweet Leaf Alcohol Marker, Crystal Blue Alcohol Marker (CTMH)
I looked through my stamp collection and the closest image I could find that resembled a jelly bean shape was actually the bunny nose from a stamp set I won a couple of years ago. I added some liquid glass to give them a jelly bean shine. What do you think?
I love this layout. It is so happy and cheerful and makes me smile. Hope you have a fantastic week!

H2H Hearts Galore Challenge
This week's "Hearts Galore Challenge" over at H2H pairs perfectly with my next project.
I had all of these lovely scraps left over from my Ivy Lane packet, and noticed that the Reflections Main Frame - Quilt Blocks pattern used 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 size squares, which was the exact same size square from the new Inspiration Flourishes stamp set. A perfect fit.
It's confession time: I didn't really care for that Ivy Lane Green cardstock until I did this layout. It pops beautifully against the bamboo of the base.
Recipe:
Paper: Ivy Lane, Ivy Lane Green CS, Bamboo CS, White Daisy CS (CTMH)
Stamps: Inspiration Flourishes, Whooo's Your Valentine (retired), It's Your Day (retired) (CTMH)
Inks: Smokey Plum, Hollyhock, Sweet Leaf, Black (CTMH)
Tools: Paper-Piercer, Micro-Tip Scissors (CTMH)
Other: Purple Glitter Gems, White Embroidery Floss (CTMH)
I wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day.

Something Sweet Layout
For the past week, I have been working on my Ivy Lane Workshop layouts, and finally finished them up last night. I even have photos and journaling on them, which is rare for me. But I have made it my mission for 2014 to scrapbook with a purpose.
Today, in my meanderings of the blog world, I found another new scrapbook sketch site (well, new to me). It is called Stuck On U Sketches. (How cute is that?!) Their challenge this week is to create a project with "Something Sweet".
Recipe:
Paper: Ivy Lane, Cocoa CS, Olive CS, White Daisy CS, Hollyhock CS (CTMH)
Stamps: Fanfare (retired), Sophia (retired), It's Your Day (retired), Ivy Lane WOTG (CTMH)
Inks: Smokey Plum, Cocoa, Olive, Hollyhock (CTMH)
Tools: Cricut Art Philosophy, Micro-Tip Scissors, Paper-Piercer, Scallop Border Punch, Sanding Kit (CTMH)
Other: Cocoa Bitty Brads (retired), Foam Tape, Purple Sparkle Gems (CTMH)
Tip of the day: A quick way to add lines to your journaling spot is to simply lay your paper out on your trimmer, and if it comes with a scoring blade, add scored lines to it every 1/4" or 1/2" as shown here. Super quick; no stamping required.
Have a wonderful day. I will be back tomorrow with more Ivy Lane artwork, so please stay tuned.
